Satjit Singh & Sonia Dabgotra – Sikh Wedding Day Highlights from Robles Video on Vimeo.

From Robles Video:
On April 3, 2010, Saj and Sonia married at the Walnut Gurdwara. This wedding was extra special to me because I have known Sonia for a few years, so I wanted to make her day extra special. We shot her wedding with two camera styles, documentary and cinematic. For the documentary approach, we used two Sony HDV-1080i cameras to cover the entire day, this will be edited to a full length DVD, which man of m clients still want. We also used the Canon 5D Mark II to create a Cinematic Highlight, which is becoming more popular. This camera allows us to create depth of field shots by using different lenses, I found out that the 70-200mm /f2.8 is my favorite. We also used the a steadicam rig to create the 360 shots and the flowing walking shots.

We started at 8:00am at her parent’s home in Diamond Bar. She got ready there with lot’s of help from her mom and her cousins. We headed out the Walnut Gurdwara, where Saj arrived with his family for the baraat. He entered in on a white horse to the sounds of the dhol beats! Wow, did his uncles have a great time dancing! They had a traditional Sikh wedding, followed by a luncheon at the Diamond Palace.
