Our story:
Suprime Khadka had moved to the United States in 2016, settling into her new life in a foreign country. Meanwhile, Pratik Kumar Basu was pursuing his master’s degree in Thailand. Despite being from the same country, their paths had never crossed until fate, with a little help from their families, decided to intervene.
Their parents introduced them, thinking they would be a good match. Initially hesitant about the idea, Suprime and Pratik agreed to connect over FaceTime. To their surprise, their conversations flowed effortlessly, and over the next 2-3 months, their bond deepened. They shared dreams, laughter, and life stories, quickly realizing they had found something special in each other.
In early 2023, they decided it was time to meet in person. They both returned to Nepal, where they met for the first time amidst family gatherings and celebrations. The connection they felt over FaceTime was even stronger in real life. Within a week of meeting, they knew they were meant for each other and got engaged in a joyous family ceremony.
Soon after, Suprime returned to the US, and Pratik resumed his studies in Thailand, with their hearts set on the day they could finally be together.
The Proposal
Fast forward to April 2024, Pratik had completed his master’s degree and was ready to begin the next chapter of their lives together. He moved to the US, bringing not just his dreams but also a grand plan to surprise Suprime.
Pratik wanted their wedding to be a celebration of their journey, and with the blessings of their families, they planned a beautiful ceremony. The event brought their loved ones together from across the world, blending traditions with heartfelt moments.
In the presence of their family members, under the vibrant spring skies, Suprime and Pratik exchanged vows. The celebration was filled with joy, laughter, and love, marking the beginning of a lifetime together.
From a chance introduction by their parents to a whirlwind engagement in Nepal, and finally to their dream wedding in the US, Suprime and Pratik’s story is a testament to the power of connection and destiny.
