Sindhu + Abhijit, a Jaipur Wedding

We met in New York City, and our first date along the East River felt like the perfect beginning to what would become an unforgettable journey together. A few years later, Abhijit proposed to me in the same spot, and we decided to hold all of our engagement ceremonies there to celebrate the place where it all started.

Though we met in New York, both of us have always felt a deep connection to India, and we wanted our wedding to reflect the essence of our cultural roots. I am Telugu, and Abhijit is Punjabi – so, in a true celebration of our diverse backgrounds, we chose to get married in India. We had the honor of exchanging our vows at the Raj Palace, one of India’s oldest and most magnificent palaces, steeped in rich history and heritage.

Our wedding was not just a union of two people but a fusion of two cultures and two states. The opulence and charm of the Raj Palace, paired with our deep personal connection to each other and our roots, created an unforgettable experience. Our wedding was an embodiment of timeless romance and the beauty of blending tradition with the modern-day love we share.
