In an awkward meeting where my dad was present, we sat in silence for 30 minutes. When we finally got a chance to be alone we finally spoke and had a great laugh about it. The more I met Neel the more I realized the missing piece in my life. My chaotic personality and his calm demeanor couldn’t be more opposite, but wouldn’t make sense without each other. We happened to be in the same school and had so many common friends and even took the same bus since we were kids! but never once did I stumble upon him. It was destiny I guess? Although life could have made us meet on many occasions, God chose to bring us together in an arranged marriage meeting. I didn’t believe in such things before, but as people say, unless something happens, we don’t realize things.
The Wedding:
My family loves partying, they are wild. We decided to throw most of the events in bars and nightclubs. Especially the sangeet. It was very unorthodox for a south Indian wedding to take place in clubs and let alone amongst Neel’s family in which half of them have never stepped into one! This decision only brought the families together very well and the amount of fun everyone had was unfathomable. 4 days of fun, laughter, dance, music and memories. Beautifully curated and enjoyed by close knit family members and well wishers.
