A word from Nirjary, A South Asian Bride Magazine Vendor: Hello dolls! As many of you beautiful brides, bridesmaids, and mother-in-laws to be know looking your best on the big wedding day is very important. Most of all working with people that know how to create your dream look is even more important. From hair, make-up, mendhi, clothing to photography hire the professionals so they can take care of it and deliver beyond your expectations!
Some helpful hints…
When you are shopping around and looking for the right lengha, sari, salwar, or gown always tell the designer how you want to feel in it. It is very important for a bride to not only look her best, but most of all own the look she is trying to rock. So don’t just get what a celebrity is wearing, get something that suites your style, body, and personality. It will make a huge difference when we get to hair, make-up and photography!
In addition to that, you want to sit down with a seasoned hair, make-up & henna team that can help create the rockstar bridal look. Finding the right team to do this can be hard as there are a lot of hair and make-up artist out there, but you want someone that is going to listen to you and your needs instead of just giving you a look they think is right for you, but keep in mind their suggestions are usually right since they are the professionals. When you set-up your trial bring inspiration pictures of celeb looks or even friends who have recently gotten married whose look you have just adored as this will help explain your vision in more detail. A lot of brides know what they want but they don’t know how to explain it so it just helps put your vision into words and get a clear image for your glam squad.
Additionally hire the right photographer that can deliver the everlasting glamourous images. You want to work with a photographer that not only understands your vision, but who works well with your style team that can help make your look and images everlasting. To all the beautiful brides to be out there, don’t skip out on this step as it’s important to have the right team in place on your big day!
