Nothing is more colorful and vibrant than a South Asian wedding in the heart of California’s wine country. Color is found everywhere- in the food, clothing, jewelry, and of course the vineyards which created a remarkable backdrop for this glorious event. The wedding included several unique twists. Nikhil, the groom like a modern prince rode in, not on the back of an elephant but on the top of an VW bus. In doing so he celebrated the times he had traveled in this vehicle with his friends on many a road-trip. Now this very same vehicle, surrounded by the roll of drums, color and laughter brought him to his bride. The ceremony itself was held in the winery’s backyard where the backdrop was nothing but miles of grape vineyards. The reception and dinner in the barrel room served as a cozy location. Where luscious food, drinks, and a night of dancing created truly a perfect evening. From the Bride: For me the best part of the whole day was having everyone we love in one room at the same time – it is truly precious and probably the one and only day in your life where that will happen. The toasts from our family and friends were probably my favorite part of the wedding – it showed us how truly lucky we are to have those people who love us so unconditionally in our lives. And they were so funny! We both had so much FUN at our wedding, which was a big surprise for me. I thought it would be a little stressful, but honestly all I remember feeling that day and night was just pure happiness and fun.
