Wedding Planner: Ambiance by Tejel, Cinematographer: AVL Films, Photographer: AVL/MDCSF Photography, Location: San Franciso, CA

“Kevin and I met in medical school in northern California so when it came to planning our wedding we knew we couldn’t have it anywhere else but gorgeous San Francisco. I used your blog so much to help me plan every little detail, down to our wedding favors, and had even chosen our color palette of orange, turquoise, and purple from there! We were in Las Vegas finishing up residency, so it was important to have a wedding planner who could handle everything when we couldn’t get up to the Bay. Tejel was exactly that person and more, she made it so easy to work with all our vendors and plan all our events. We didn’t have time to go to India so we went to Cerritos, CA and got all of our outfits and jewelry made at Frontier Heritage and Fashion Galleria. We both really love our cultures, and we wanted to showcase that in a big way! We decided to do a Sangeet, a Sikh wedding ceremony, a Chinese tea ceremony, and a traditional 10 course Chinese banquet reception. Our Sangeet was done at an Indian restaurant and everyone had so much fun dancing and getting mehndi done! It definitely put all our guests in the celebrating mood for our wedding. The baraat was definitely the most fun part of the wedding, I wanted to run down and participate in it too!! The reception was really more than we had ever imagined it to be! We had really focused on how we wanted our reception to look and we decided to do it at One Rincon Center in San Francisco. Victoria’s Floral and our other decorator turned that atrium into our dream wedding reception! And the elephant that Victoria made was my personal favorite part of the entire design. For the cake we wanted something a bit different, we did square cupcakes in 4 different flavors with a big round cupcake as our top tier. We danced the night away enjoying the greatest day of our lives!”
