Gurpreet Singh & Pranika Bedi
Gurpreet and Pranika first met during the beginning days of Covid. Date options were limited, so Gurpreet would come to see Pranika on her daily “walks”. These dates were short, but cute. They got to know each other and enjoyed each other’s companies during crazy times in the world. As seasons passed, Gurpreet and Pranika explored all that California has to offer – eating yummy food, enjoying summer picnics, and countless drives by the coast.
On March 26, 2022 Pranika got ready for her date with Gurpreet. She had no idea what they were doing that day, as Gurpreet promised it would be a surprise. They started the day wine tasting in Napa and then headed into San Francisco for dinner reservations. For reasons unknown to Pranika, Gurpreet really wanted to go to Ocean Beach to catch the sunset. Pranika soon realized what was happening when she saw a beautiful and intimate setup on a cliff overlooking a gorgeous sunset. As Gurpreet led Pranika up the cliff, he promised her love for the rest of her life and dropped down on one knee shortly after. Of course, she said yes!
Gurpreet and Pranika’s relationship took a turn when Gurpreet decided to start a new chapter in his life. In November of 2022, Gurpreet took a risky leap and moved to Chicago to start a new job. Since then, Pranika has visited Gurpreet many times and got a sneak peek of her new life after marriage – city views, unique restaurants, and new adventures!
With the final months approaching the wedding, Gurpreet and Pranika got to witness friends getting married. As others around them started new chapters in their lives, Gurpreet and Pranika started to feel that excitement – their lives will soon combine into one.
Gurpreet and Pranika married on October 14, 2023 in San Jose, California, where they were joined by family and friends at the San Jose gurdwara.
