Nawshin & Sifat, a Chateau Novelle Wedding

Couples Story:
We sometimes are taken back by how much fate brought us together. We both were at a point in our life where we were ready to find the one. As many millennials, we took to the dating apps. We ended up finding each other, but unfortunately due to busy schedules, the conversation fizzled out. However, two months later, a good friend of mine in dental school ended up being Sifat‘s cousin who then reconnected us both.
We were on opposite ends of the country- me in New York, him in Texas. We knew it wasn’t going to be easy but conversation flowed, chemistry was strong, and love was certainly in the air. It was just one of those situations where you know when you know.
Fast forward a year and a half, having maintained seeing each other at least once every month during our long distance relationship, Sifat decided to pop the question. He took me to Chicago. A city which didn’t have much meaning other than being our mid point, but soon would be a place that lives in our hearts forever.
Everything that wasn’t supposed to go wrong, went wrong. It was rainy, foggy, and Chicago was definitely showing off its windy nature. Sifat was still determined to make me his finance that day. Our incredible photographer Courtney was the only other crazy person in Milton Lee Olive Park. In the end, the proposal was perfect, even with all of its imperfection. The weather and Courtney truly made our engagement photos stunning.
Soon wedding planning begun. I was in dental school in Buffalo, NY, so I knew I’d need a talented and skilled planner. So we contacted SB Events and sealed the deal.
Our wedding was everything and more. We didn’t want it to feel like a production but we also wanted to wow our guests who travelled near and far. We found the most gorgeous French like chateau in Houston, TX- Chateau Cocomar- now known as Chateau Novelle. It encapsulated romance, vintage auras, and elegance in every corner. Our decor details, cake, and wedding wear all were thoughtfully chosen to compliment our venue.
We even had one of those vintage cars to make an entrance into our cocktail hour. That was probably one of my most favorite parts of the night and something really important to me. Cocktail hour is so enjoyable, so Sifat and I made it a point to be a part of it. It gave us a chance to be up close and personal with our guests to show our appreciation for coming out to celebrate our love that day.
