Four Days, Two Hearts, One Magical Destination
Our weddings were focused on highlighting the natural beauty and surroundings of Mexico. We had 2 beautiful intimate weddings with 90 of our closest friends and family who flew from the UK & USA to celebrate. Our 4 events (Mehendi night, Vidhi, Hindu Wedding, Civil Wedding & Reception took place across 2 venues at Paradisus Playa Del Carmen & Xcaret Park. Our phenomenal wedding planners Xanath Banuelos helped us to achieve fun, love and laughter highlighting multiple colour themes ranging from blues, yellow, reds and green. Achieving a surprise civil wedding for our guests and the ultimate balance of relaxation and events. Our destination wedding is one of a kind with our finale reception in a beautiful cave.
Our first event, Mehendi Night was focused on Mexican Talavera. Our guests were able to do Mehendi, followed by entertainment focused on water drums and dancing. Our guests enjoyed a fun filled start and welcome to our wedding.
Following this great start, we had our first religious event the vidhi, held in a beautiful outdoor Palapa in the morning covered by beautiful foliage and calming music. Our priest performed a joint vidhi followed by fun and games of the Haldi. We finished this beautiful event on the beach playing Holi. A fun filled activity using eco friendly colours.
The next day with an afternoon Hindu wedding held on a beautiful wooden bridge overlooking the beach covered by beautiful mangroves to provide our guests a reprieve from the heat. We focused on creating a natural mandap, highlighting beautiful flowers combining pampas and red roses and local flowers, to enhance the natural beauty of the location. Followed by a traditional Gujarati dinner with live stations from jalebi, pani puri and served in a beautiful Palapa and dancing on the beach.
Our final event held offsite at Xcaret Park, started with our surprise civil wedding held in a traditional Mexican Hacienda. Our guests arrived to be welcomed to our second wedding. We focused on using the backdrop of the hacienda and brought this out with a semi circle arch with beautiful local flowers including the Birds of Paradise. Followed by cocktails and canapés, we moved to our final location a beautiful Cenote (cave) for the reception. Providing traditional Mexican food, with the spice of India, speeches and lots of dancing.
