Khushbu & Lokesh, a Alila Fort Bishangarh Wedding

How we met & The proposal

We first met when I was hanging out with Lokesh friends from the apartment, and he came back from work. It was a serendipitous meeting and we were both curious about each other. After that, we started spending more time together, watching Bollywood movies and trying out different things for fun. When the lockdown started, we got even closer, finding comfort in each other’s company.

Our first official date was at a cosy pizza place by the river. That’s when I realised Lokesh was unlike anyone I’d ever met. He made me feel special and understood in a way no one else had before. We just clicked.

Living near the water, Lokesh planned a beautiful proposal. He took me to the park by the docks, where the peaceful sight of boats made the moment even more magical. On our second anniversary, during what I thought was just a casual walk, Lokesh got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was a moment I’ll never forget, full of happiness and love.

Styling journey with Styl. Inc Wedding Stylists

At Styl. Inc we styled our couple impeccably. It was a ‘this is it’ moment when Khushbu saw her Sangeet lehenga from Tarun Tahiliani; it had been on her vision board to wear a colourful lehenga for her Sangeet, and she desired something intricate and with a different drape style. We knew which designer could fulfil all her requirements, and it was love at first sight when we finalised her Sangeet lehenga. For Lokesh’s Sangeet outfit, we styled him in a long jacket from Anita Dongre, taking the embroidery from a bandhgala and the colour from a different piece to customise something that suited him best.

For the wedding, there were many rounds to different designers as Khushbu was torn between being a classic red bride or a pastel bride. We styled her in soft pink by Manish Malhotra after much consideration of colour swatches and embroidery, customising the lehenga by incorporating embroidery from a different lehenga and managing a colour that suited her skin tone. She shined with the lehenga, and the outcome was beautiful, with not only the lehenga shining but also Khusbhu complimenting it.

Lokesh fully trusted us with his styling at Styl. Inc, and according to his personality, we chose a subtle yet classy Sabyasachi sherwani.
