How We Met
Nav and Jasica met in the fall of 2021, shortly after Jasica moved to Vancouver. After a few weeks of chatting online, they decided to meet in person. Nav chose his favorite bar, Grapes & Soda, hoping to make a good impression.
It didn’t take long for a connection to form. Jasica quickly found herself drawn to Nav’s warmth, dry sense of humor, and the many things they shared in common—family values, a love for R&B, and a quiet understanding of each other’s quirks. Their bond grew effortlessly, and soon enough, it was clear that they had found something truly meaningful.
The Proposal
Three years later, Nav planned a special weekend getaway to Whistler, the very first place they had explored together outside Vancouver. He told Jasica they were heading up for a work event to meet his colleagues. She bought it—completely.
They spent the day hiking scenic trails, sipping coffee, and eating pastries, all while Jasica had no idea what was coming. Just as they were about to head to the “work dinner,” Nav got down on one knee. Completely surprised, Jasica burst into tears. The setting, the timing, and the thoughtfulness—it was everything. And of course, she said yes.
The Engagement Party
To celebrate, their families gathered in Kamloops for a traditional Sikh chunni ceremony. Nav’s family made the trip down, and what followed was a joyful evening filled with culture, laughter, and a lot of food. The rain held off just until the moment the ceremony ended. It was a perfect evening.
The Photoshoot
A few months later, Jasica traveled to Singapore for a conference, and the couple decided to do something spontaneous—an engagement shoot through the vibrant streets of the city. Guided by a talented local videographer with a cinematic style, they spent the night capturing their joy against Singapore’s stunning skyline.
