Invitations, the first formal joint piece of communication from a couple to their closest friends and family, often set the tone for wedding events. For this gorgeous couple, the perfect invitation suite comprised of a shine purple paper folio and multiple shimmer ivory-gold event inserts. If you are featuring your names or monogram on the front of your folio (or your wedding card), consider adding a vertical or horizontal ribbon carrying an embellishment. Whether you choose a wider bold ribbon or a lacy thinner one, choose a shade that contrasts to the folio or card you will be wrapping it around – but one that still coordinates with the overall color palette. This adds a “wow factor” as your monogram, names, and/or wedding date are revealed only after your guests open the tie. Alternatively, for those invitations that will be hand delivered (or mailed in bubble lined outer envelope), consider adding an embellishment right on the envelope.
